Corrado Varoli

Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of G5 Evercore’s Executive Committee. From 1999 to 2006, he was a Partner and Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and President for Latin America. From 1987 to 1999, Varoli was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. Among his responsibilities at Morgan Stanley, he was in charge of Latin American M&A, the US Telecommunications Group, and the US Oil & Gas M&A group. Varoli has an MBA from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from McMaster University.

Renato Klarnet

Co-Founder and member of G5 Evercore’s Executive Committee. He is responsible for G5 Evercore’s Investment Management group. From 2005 to 2007, Klarnet was the CEO of Tradewire Group, a US DMA broker-dealer he founded in 2005. From 2003 to 2005, Klarnet was an Emerging Markets equities and fixed income Portfolio Manager at JPMorgan. From 2001 to 2003, he was in charge of Latam Equity Cash Trading at Goldman Sachs. From 1997 to 2001, Klarnet had a similar role at Morgan Stanley. He started his career at Banco Pactual, where he worked from 1993 to 1997 as a member of the equity distribution group. Klarnet has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica – RJ.


Marcelo Lajchter

Co-Founder and member of G5 Evercore’s Executive Committee. From 1995 to 2007, he was Senior Partner at Barbosa Müssnich & Aragão Advogados, one of the most important law firms in Corporate Law, M&A and Restructuring in Brazil. Lajchter has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (1994).
